JTE templates
Designed page sets written in JTE, typed against a real Java model. A misspelled field is a compile error, not a blank space on a live page.
What the JTE edition looks like
@for(var i : model.invoices())
<tr class="invoice-row">
<td class="col-number"><a class="invoice-link" href="${i.url()}">${i.number()}</a></td>
<td class="col-date">${i.date()}</td>
<td class="col-for">${i.description()}</td>
<td class="col-status"><span class="status${i.statusClass().isEmpty() ? "" : " " + i.statusClass()}">${i.status()}</span></td>
<td class="col-amount"><span class="money">${i.amount()}</span></td>
<td class="col-pdf"><a class="text-link text-link-plain">Download<span class="visually-hidden"> <span>${i.number()}</span> as PDF</span></a></td>
</tr>
@endfor
Relaybird's invoice rows, exactly as the JTE edition ships them. The loop is plain Java, and every value is a method on the model record, so the compiler checks each one.
Every page in every template is written this way. None of it is static markup with a file extension changed.
Putting it in your app
Where it goes
Pages go in src/main/jte/, in a
folder named for the template. The stylesheet and images go in
src/main/resources/static/. The
guide has the one command that points the pages at your package.
What it reads
One record per template, with a nested record for each kind of thing it lists. Every page declares it as its parameter.
Before you ship
Precompile the pages into your jar with the jte-maven-plugin. A jar has no
src folder, so development mode
cannot find them there. The guide in the download has the settings.
Every template in JTE
14 so far, and new ones land every month. Each download has every format, so you can change engines later without purchasing again.

Each template is written out in Thymeleaf, FreeMarker, JTE and plain HTML. Every edition is installed from its own download into a fresh app, and every page, link and button is tried there before it goes on sale. Java 17 or later.
